Pinkunoizu is a Copenhagen-based band whose name is named after the Japanese word for "pink noise". The band released their debut album "Free Time Volume One" last year at their former record label Morningside Records, in connection with their 10th anniversary in April this year. Pinkunoizus debut was as the last regular release of Morningside Records.
Now the group has however got a contract with the UK record label Full Time Hobby and are thus stable with notable names like Tunng, TheLeisure Society and Erland & The Carnival.
To celebrate the newly signed contract releases the band a toll free number.The song is called "Time Is Like A Melody" and can be downloaded here.
Number is the first taster from the band at Full Time Hobby. The corresponding ep "Peep" follows in November, and the album is releasednext year.
Pinkunoizus members who have previously played together in the band LeFailure consists of Jaleh Negari (drums), Jeppe Brix (guitar) AndreasPallisgaard (guitar, vocals) and Jakob Falgren (guitar, keys, and foot pedalbass). The band's sound is by his own admission a blend of exotic lo-fi, high-life, reinterpreted 60s Asian pop and post-apocalyptic rock.
