Iceage on Eurosonic

The great Dutch industry festival Eurosonic took place in the start of this year. The Dutch university town of Groningen. The festival featured three days of music with a total of 288 bands on 32 different scenes. The music comes from all over Europe and focuses on new, young talent. Just here is konceterne place in a variety of venues in the city center, and Groningen is actually the city in Europe, with most venues in the city's physical size. It is also a beautiful arch Dutch city with lots of canals and beautiful historic buildings.

The Danish band Iceage (pictured), who has had plenty of tailwind in Denmark and abroad on top of the release of debut album "New Brigade" last year. There were long queues outside the venue Vera. The hall with space for several hundred people was filled to bursting point, when the band started, but there was some degree of depopulation during the band's 25 minutes short bursts.

There were lots of energy and aggression on stage and the band have also gradually learned to play fairly - practice makes perfect - but memorable songs, there were not many, and signed the permit in this space to call Iceage easily overrated. They are a fresh breath of ugliness and madness in many ways musically good time, certainly, but there's not much more in them, not yet anyway. There was, however, danced a bit pogo in the front rows, and when the concert was over, flung Elias Rønne Field with great force his microphone far from the audience. Fortunately no one was hit. Judging from audience reactions were limited, however, also limited how much Iceage hit musical audience.
