Aqua on the top Down Under

(BT) Aqua celebrates in these weeks a tremendous comeback - in Australia. The Danish pop band who broke through with a Barbie Girl in 1997, is on top Down Under with a sold-out concerts everywhere.

Aqua announced an Australian tour in January.

- When we heard that the first concert in Melbourne was sold out, we thought hardly of it, says Rene Dif in Australia.

But Aqua version 2012 has taken Australians by storm. Extra concert was also sold out, and now awaits a third concert in Melbourne's leading music venue, The Palace, next week.

The local superstar Kylie Minogue has got rear of the Danes. She occupies Melbourne on Sunday, but can only fill the Palace once. Aqua's remarkable comeback highlighted by both Lenny Krawitz, The Cranberries, Duran Duran and Taylor Swift also appears in Melbourne this week.

Aqua's Australian trumftog started badly, as the front woman Lene Nystrom got pneumonia from the long flight.

- She was really sick, but was fortunately quickly OK. I can not remember we ever had to cancel a concert, said her husband and Aqua-keyboardist Rasted.

After two sold-out concerts in Sydney at the weekend, two concerts in Freemanle (one sold) faces Aqua Wednesday returned to Melbourne to join the Australian tour with extra-special concert in the Palace.
