Two Danish girls are Blackout Babies

One blonde & one brunette, two fascinating voices – is the essence of Blackout Babies. Linn and Nana are Danish but with a French connection. Nouvelle Vague frontmand Marc Collin produced their debut EP, “The Bad Habits of Burned Out BOB”, released May 2011 on French label Kwaidan Records.

Blackout Babies was formed in Paris in 2009. The two girls went there to try their musical luck and a fruitful collaboration began. Nana and Linn wrote lyrics and music with contributions from Marc Collin and from producers and musicians Fred Avril and Valente Bertelli.

“The Bad Habits of Burned Out BOB” features sensual new wave with notes of pop, soul and disco. “Verte de Jalousie” is a catchy pop song, whereas “Meat Market” and “And then they went to the bar” are sexy-sensual with a pinch of rock. And “Ballad in plain G” featuring American singer Gordon Gano (Violent Femmes) holds it’s own desperate mood.

Spring 2011 Blackout Babies toured for the second time with Nouvelle Vague in Scandinavia doing the support act, playing at venues like Berns Salonger in Stockholm and Store Vega in Copenhagen. Now lines between Paris and Copenhagen are glowing as Blackout Babies are getting ready for the album release.
