Popkomm 2011 - Danish invasion in Berlin

(gaffa) The German music industry festival, which collapsed in 2009, is torediscover themselves now in its second year - both in terms ofprofessionals' activities fair in the old West German airport Tempelhof andshowcase program. It is an interesting window for the Danes, because the German market is one of the most important export markets for Danish music. And it's also still a nice and inexpensive city.
For the second year's Popkomm merged with the distinguished audiencefestival Berlin Festival (with names like Primal ScreamdEUS, James Blake,Santi Gold, The Drumstab Berlin Music Week, creating a stronger program with extra attraction.

Wednesday evening presented the Popkomm and the Danish Musicians' Union (DMF) seven Danish bands at the venue - and the restaurant - White Trashas well as being renowned for an incognito visit by Mick Jagger and the like has given its name to a Danish jazz supergroup. Also because itsfacade in the old days was a Chinese restaurant hidden in a dark venue inback roomToday's White Trash also known for its burgers.
Now it would neither be about burgers or jazz, but music export and sevengreat Danish bandsThe Danish Invasion was an official Popkommshowcase that welcomed the New Spring, Dad Rocks!, LydmorLet Me PlayYour Guitar, CallmeKat, Deer Bear and Emma Acs with correspondingDanish and international industry professionals.
