Danish showcase at MIDEM

MIDEM (Marché International du Disque et del'Edition Musicale) were settled in Cannes since the late '60s, and there haslong been a good tradition for Danish artists have visited the exhibition topresent their music professionals from worldwide. This year, Denmark is represented by a series of dance-names to be showcased at the specialDanish showcase.

These are the five names that have already had a certain amount of successabroad, but as this showcase can hopefully go even further afield. The program offers Medina, who last year released "Welcome To Medina" in parts of Europe and the Infernal, which had several international hits takenfrom the album "From Paris To Berlin" from 2004.

Kato also has enjoyed success with the single "Turn The Lights Off " andlast year he collaborated with Outlandish at the single "Desert Walk". Theyare also on the program to the Danish showcase, and the same is Providersamong others, has produced material for Medina.

The five Danish names appear in Cannes Monday 24th January, when 58companies and nearly 100 persons from among other record labels, musicpublishers and music organizations will be affiliated with the Danish state,which frames presentation of the Danish music industry. This is an increaseof 10 percent over last year.
