Cutfather convicted for violation of copyright law

(BT) The producer is convicted of using the instrumental masters from Christine Milton"Superstar"in the English singer Jamelia song with same name

The Danish producer and X Factor judge Cutfather, also known as Mich Hedin Hansen, wereconvicted for violation of copyright law, writes bt.dk. These are the instrumentalmaster of Christine Milton's hit "Superstar" from 2003 which Cutfather with partnerand songwriter Joe Belmaati allegedly used by the British singer Jamelia almostidentical song "Superstar".

Duo Cutfather and Belmaati has apparently not had the rights to master, and hasthus violated copyright holder Metronome, which therefore has sued the two andwere unsuccessful. Cutfather has not yet ruled on the case but are expected, according to BT to relate to the conviction during Thursday.

Cutfather has produced and / or written songs since the early 90s and has workedwith big names, among others Kylie Minogue, Ace Of Base, Santana, ChristinaAguilera and Robyn.

Cutfathers lawyer Gregers Lauridsen says however that there is used the sameinstrumental master of the two numbers, but the instrumental part of Jamelia songis "new ". Interested parties can compare Christine Milton "Superstar" by Jamelia "Superstar" here.
